My fiances hood won't shut on her Mustang. Prop and everything is out of the way, but it still won't lock shut. Any ideas?

never mind; the hood release under the dash never fully retracted when she originally opened it.

god I hate simple fixes like that, makes us feel like idiots.

Like one time I tried driving an SUV and wasn't sure why it wouldn't move and it was because that weird ass kick hand brake was on.

I didn't even think about it because mine has never stuck like that in the 4+ years I've owned mine.

Happened to me too, but I also had to cut the legs off of it and adjust it.

Mine did that too, I just sprayed some WD-40 in to the locking mekanism, to loosen up some rust and dirt and whatever else it was full of, and after I let it sit for like a day, I lubricated the locking mekanism in some hobby oil and it has worked fine since.
